What exactly is BaZi?
BaZi (八字), the Four Pillars of Destiny, is a Chinese astrology dating back over a thousand years. It converts your birth year, month, day and hour into eight characters from the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches, revealing the elemental energies that shape your life.
What are the ten-year luck cycles?
Known as Da Yun (大运), these are successive ten-year periods, each governed by a new stem-and-branch pillar. They layer a moving influence over your fixed birth chart — which is why the same person’s fortune shifts across the decades.
What are zodiac harmonies?
The twelve animals form four harmonious trines (三合), each sharing an element. Signs within a trine tend to support and understand one another — a classic lens for compatibility in Chinese astrology.
Why does the birth hour matter?
The hour sets your fourth pillar and helps establish your Day Master’s strength. Without an accurate time the chart is still meaningful, but the reading of children, later life and hidden fortune becomes less precise.
